Titled ‘Making Our Own Kind of Music’ and under the direction of musical director Thomas Duchan, the Hedingham Singers performed at St Giles’ Church, Great Maplestead, raising more than £1,100 in support of Ukraine.
Halstead Rotarian Keith Brownlie, who was instrumental in organising the event, said he was delighted in how everything went.
“There were some brilliant hits from the era and everyone had a wonderful time,” he said.
He also thanked the ‘Maple Leaves’ women from the village for putting on a delicious buffet too.
Halstead mayor Jackie Pell also voiced a vote of thanks to the Hedingham Singers and all involved.
